I am an engineer (citizen of Nepal), working in NY city, here to visit Canada. I was on Student visa since 1997-2002. I then got my H1B visa approval, and came to Canada to visit my relative and get H1B visa stamp for the first time.
I was told they require a security clearance for me.
My country is not in the 26 country list. I needed to get back to my work soon, but it looks like I have to wait 3 weeks to a month (may be more?).
Anybody has the experience of getting the clearance sooner than 3 weeks? Is there anything I can do to expedite the process.
Any kind of suggestions, experience stories would be appreciated.
