H1 Revalidation

Hi

My friend (Indian) currently has H1 visa valid till May 2004. She got an offer from new company who said they will apply for "New" H1 visa and NOT "Transfer" the current visa.

Once the new visa approval notice comes , can my friend get the
the visa stamping (or revalidation) done in USA itself by sending her passport to St/Louis/WashingtonDC
OR
She need to go to India and get the stamping done??

No She cant send her passport for revalidation if she gets New H1. Becasue she wont be getting the I-94 . She willjust get the iI-797 which should be stapmed in person origing country (india ) onlyl ..
Ask her company to transfer the H1 .so that she will get extended I-94/. In this case .. YES she can send her passport for revalidation.
