H1 Revalidation - Vancouver

Hi All,

I have an appointment in Vancouver in Nov Last week. This is my 3rd Visa extension. I just changed my company 3 months back. I don't have a US degree but my degree is from India will this be a problem at the Canadian Consulate. Please advice.
Any recent experiences with a similar situation and got a visa stamped in Vancouver or Canada will be appreciated.

Hey guys,

Can anyone please respond if they had any good or bad experiences in Vancouver. All the cases I've read have a degree from US university anyone with an Indian BE degree out there who got a stamp recently. Your experience will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I know about the name check. I've gone for stamping before couple of times but never been to Canada before. Name check has the same criteria in all consulates bcoz it's against the same database but I wanted to know if an Indian degree is any concern for the VO in Vancouver Canada.

I've seen ppl getting there visa stamped even though they have a common muslim name so I really don't know what criteria they have for name check.

Anyways if you have any feedback or experiences you know in Canada with Indian degree pls let me know.

I know a guy who got visa in 39 days but for this time , he is waiting for 10+ months.

But if you earlier had H-1 then you are fine with your Indian education too because they know you had H-1 earlier so you know your stuff.

If you could wait March of next year then it will help your case because FBI would get rid of major backlog by then. Please decide wisely, I don't wanna scare you, if you get stuck then it can ruin every thing for you and given economy, companies might not wait for too long.

H1 Stamping at Vancouver

Hi All,

I am going for H1 visa stamping next month. Just in case something bad happens to my stamping and If I enter US using my AP will this cancel my H1 status. Can I enter US using my AP and still have my H1 status active since I have my approved petition from my new employer.


I have changed my employer after getting my EAD will this have any effect on using my AP.

Experts Please advice.
