I will be applying for my H1-B re-enrty visa in US Consulate in New Delhi within 2 weeks.
Last year I got the same visa stamped from US dept of State by mailing my docs which is valid till 04/15/2004 as my 3 years of H1 is valid till that date. I got my new H1B approval notice thru my current employer and now I'd need a re-entry visa again. But this time I will be in New Delhi and will submit my documents for visa stamping in a drop-off box .I get an option to either drop-off my documents or go personally to the US consulate as my current visa will expire on 04/15/2004 as it's not more than 60 days.
Now, when I see the list of documents on US Consulate web site in New Delhi the list is different then that of US dept. State web site for the same visa. It's kinda funny that the 2 lists are different for same type of visa.
Anywho,
My Questions:
1.If I submit my documents using the list on US dept of state will it
be ok? because the document they are asking in the Consulate is are lot
of them. For example, I cannot get a letter from my previous employer
because that company does not exist anymore. I do not understand why the
list is different for the same type of visa
2.Which option will be good :
a) drop-off documents and receive back via courier
b) personally go to the US consulate in New Delhi
