H1 revalidation - chennai

How many days does it take for the consulate to mail the passport with the visa stamp back after the H1-B revalidation interview? I have an appointment for sep 2nd (thursday) and a ticket to fly on the 5th(sunday) night/ 6th(monday) early morning. Should I reschedule my flight? Please advice

People report that after a succesful interview, it takes only a day to get back the passport. However, if some kind of security clearance is needed, it might take a lot of time. The only way to know is to apply and see. Certain names seem to create problems. A bunch of guys with the name Amit seem to be held up, and so they were wondering if that name has an issue (this was purely a guess on their part).
