H1 renewal mailed 2 days before 6yr expiry

my case history :
I-140 - approved in Aug-2000
I-485 - receipt date sept'23'02
Fingerprinting : Oct'29'02

H1B 6years expired - 1/13/03
7yr renewal mailed on 1/10/03

i havent received my case # for the 7yr renewal

is that a problem since my i-94 has expired & so has my H1 ?

Have no idea.

I am in a worse situation. My LC got cleared in Dec 2002. My H1 expired on the 13th of Jan 2003. We filed I-140, I-485 and H1 extension on the 8th of Jan 2003.

My lawyer told me it is not a problem. Lets hope she is right.
