I came to US on H1 visa and converted to H4 after I stopped working.I am completing 6 years in June. My husband filed for green-card last year and will be getting H1 extension and me H4 extension. After six years looks like I cannot get onto H1. I can only stay on H4 and keep getting extension along with my husband. If I go out of the country for a year is it possible for me to come back on H4 and then convert to H1 for another 6 year slot ? I would like to be able to come back on H4 and look for jobs afterwards. Please let me know.
