H1-H1 stamping at Matamoros,Mexico without I94 on new I797

Hi,

I have an appointment in Matamoros on Aug 6th.
I got new H1 approval for H1 transfer but I didn't get the I94 as I am out of status b/w transfering H1(I couldn't provide the paystub for one month).Did anybody had the same situation and went to Matamoros for Stamping.What should i say if they ask me why I am out of status.

Please help me.
