Hello everyone.

I am in the last yr of residency, on an H1B. I am currently in the process of looking for employment. I have two prospective employers -
A. Private employer in a metropolitan area in CA, willing to file for an H1 & LCA
B. Community Health Clinic in a medically underserved area in TX, willing to file an LCA and NIW

Is there any advantage of dual filing for LCA and NIW?
Does the spouse receive EAD immediately in case of NIW?
Can both employers file for an LCA concurrently?
Can employer A file for an LCA, and employer B file for NIW?
Is there significant time difference between LCA processing times in CA and TX?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Yes

Can both employers file for an LCA concurrently?

yes. u can have as many LCA as u can arrange.

Can employer A file for an LCA, and employer B file for NIW?

yes. NIW is self sponsored (although u will need a job in HPSA/MUA/ARC/VA). u can use an attorney to file the papers or u can file them yourself.

Is there significant time difference between LCA processing times in CA and TX?

Don't know. just go the *processing times* and check yourself.

Last Q that u didn't ask, but i believe is important .........
u have been on H1 residency. time-line of H1 LCA>GC Vs
NIW>GC?

H1 LCA>GC is faster.
LCA .... 1 1/4 year
I-140 ... 9 months
CP ...... 5 months apprx / AOS (I-485) ...... 2 yrs apprx
----------------------

of course all of this is my personal opinion.

much thanks...one more question

Thankyou very much for your reply.

One more question:

For how long does one have to stay with the employer after the LCA is approved?

Is the NIW portable?

Again, thanks....I surely appreciate your help and advice.
