Are physicians subject to the H1 cap or are they inculded in the additional 20000 H1 exemptions. My wife did her 3 years of residiency from a university hospital in US on a J1. She now wants to start work on H1. I have got a j1 waiver. O know that waiver physicians are exempt from the cap, but what about other physicians wanting to work on H1. Does completing residency qualify you for exemption? Is it considered a "masters" or higher level degree?
