My H1 is expiring in March 2004. I am about to file I-140 using LC substitution. Can I get H1 renewals done based on the fact that I-140 has been filed? Or do I have to file I-485 before March 2004 as well to get H1 extensions?

This is in case I do not want to use EAD

As you are using labor substitution, on what basis you will get H-1 extension.

I think you are talking to 6 year H1B expiry and 7th year H1B extension. Yes, you can get 7th year H1B if you filed for labor or I-140 one year before the expiry of 6 year on H1B.

In my case, my H1 is expiring in March 2004, I am using LC substitution to file I-140, can I still get 7th year extension on H1?
