Gurus please help-

1. Is there any risk in extending your H1 when you have your EAD and your AOS is pending ?

2. Is it OK to apply for H1 extension a month before the H1 expires ?
 
Do we have to apply for H-1B extension?

Since H-1B extension costs a lot (1130 (INS H-1B) +140 (H-4)+ 800 (attorney'fee)), I wonder do we have to apply for this extension if we submited I485 almost 1 year already and job is also stable?

My boss think I do not need to do that (they do not want to pay),
and my attorney told me I'd better to do that.
