From my understanding, if one has I-140 approved but can't file for AOS due to retrogression, he/she should be eligible for a 3 years H1 extension. But is it possible to get the extension with a different company? I have an offer and they're planning to do just that - use I-140 with my current company to file for 3 years H1 with them. Is it possible and is there any risk in doing that?
