H1 extension rejections

I am hearing from some of my friends that USCIS is rejecting H1B extensions and transfers. I don't know the exact reasons, but looks like there is lot of scrutiny. Have any of you heard such incidents...or is it just a rumor ??

I have applied for my H1B extension(7 years completed) based on approved
I140..does anyone know if such cases will run into problems.

Kind of true . Recently one of my friend was given a big RFE referencing End Client letters and details. The company based on attorney withdrew the extension application. His receipt date was July 2008 and he was given RFE in Feb,09

I am in the same boat and waiting for any response from USCIS . My receipt date is 10/21 and premium processing but no updates till now
