Hi ,
1] Would i get the H1 extension approved in 15 days from the day it has been filed with INS if i do fast track?
2] Considering my marraige plans in apr 2002 and my h1 expiring mar1,2002,would i get my H1 approved if applied in the normal way[not fast track]within the next 2 weeks before i leave in Apr.
3]Is there anything else between i submitting the papers
and the lawyer submitting to INS, i mean whether there is anything to get like LCA or any evaluation to be done before the papers can be submitted to INS. I want to know how long it takes to actually file with INS once the papers have reached the lawyer.
4] How long would it take to get a receipt no. in normal track versus a fast track.
5]what is the process involved in this fast track? How reliable is it? I meant the success rate.?
Do u think it is a good idea to go fast track?
6] Are there any loopholes or problems in fast track?
7] now my h1 and visa expires on Mar 1,2002. i would have a valid h1[once the H1 extension is approved] when i travel to my home country but the visa would be expired. is that fine?.
Can i travel in this situation?
8]Or do i need to get the visa stamp before i leave U.S?
9] Are there any issues in approving H1\'s or granting visas at overseas U.S consulates with respect to the salary being offered to me? I have been told that generally salary is not an issue and even if it is, then it is for initial H1\'s. In my case, it is h1 extension and i would be going for stamping in Mumbai consulate with the h1 extension i.e second time.
Ur inputs would be highly appreciated,
Awaiting ur reply,
A.S.
