H1 extension in case of future GC

Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody got H1 extended beyond 6 years on the basis of GC application pending from some other company(Future Employment)
Like if you are working for company A and had applied (or have approved I-140) from company B and now you want to extend your H1 from company A.

Any input would be great.

I have my consular processing applicaiton pending.H1 is getting expired in July. I heard from this discussion, that someone got the 7th year H1.

But non of my friends applied this year beginning, have not yet received any response from INS.

Jay are you and your friends doing GC through some other company besides your H1 holder?

I think it depends on Company B that is processing your GC. If they are intending to offer you the job at a future date, then you can extend your H1.
