H1 Extension - Can visa be stamped in Canada?

I have applied for my H1 Extension and should be getting it in about 3-4 months. I would like to know if I can go to Canada to get the H1 Visa stamped.

I heard from someone that Canada had stopped accepting appointments for Visa, and hence wanted more concrete information about this.

yes you can go to canada to get the visa stamped. They are still is still issuing appointments.
