H1 Extension beyond 6th yr

Hi,

I recently completed my 6th year on H1 and filed for 1 yr extension with the approved labor as my I-140 is still pending and yet to be approved. Here is my question.

- I learnt from others that some applications,who are in similar situation, managed to get 3 yrs extension on their H1.

Can you pl throw some lights on this scenario of 3 yrs extension offered when I-140 is pending and not yet approved.

when the I-140 is pending you will only get one year, the lawyer can say on the form that it will be a 3 year position incase your I-140 is approved before the H-1 renewal then you would get three years however if it is not approved then it will be 1 year only.
