H1-EOS, awaiting approval

Hi:

My H1-Extension of Status(with same employer) was applied at the California SC with receipt date of May1st2002. My current H1B expired this month. Still awaiting response!! Anybody in the same boat....or has received the EOS approval with similar RD?? Is there anyway I can re-apply through premium processing since I have to travel abroad in October! Feedback will be appreciated.

Premium Processing

Your company can refile with premium processing. They would have to file an I-907 along with the $1000 processing fee for premium processing. I also have a case pending with CSC that was filed on 5/1/02..

The good news is that if your current H-1 expires you do not go out of status since you filed you extension before the expiration date. This doesn't help you with your travel needs, but at least you won't have to stop working (this was not the case a few years ago).
