I am new to this group. I found this group very helpful. I hope you can post your advices to my strage situation.
I had my H1B visa yesterday i.e 15 Nov at chennai consulate.
The interivew went very smooth until the VO asked about the company where I am currently working.
I have been working in a MNC in hyderabad. My company just got shifted to hitech city and the phone service/connection was not yet resumed. The VO called to my company which he got no response. He told me to sit and he would call me again.
After some time a lady came out to me and took inside a cabin. He told me 'I am coming to the point straight away. We have doubt with your current company. If you are faking it just tell me now it self. If you are proved guilty you will get your visa permanently rejected to US.'
Then I told her you can go ahead and enquire, my company has been shifted to Hitech-city now so phone connection yet to be resumed. I told all the projects I did and I am currently doing. My company profile, the name of my company director here in india(hyderabad) and my MD name(in USA) and all the information she asked for. It looked like she was convinced with my answers.
She told me to sit back and after some time VO called me again to the counter, he asked for my marks sheets and had a xerox of it and told me that 'I need to enquire more about your company here in hyderabad and you may leave now'.
VO had my passport with him and he didn't gave me any forms like 221(g) or whatsoever. I just left the consulate. That was my luck.
I called my director of my company and explained my situation, he felt very sorry of what happened.
He emailed to chennaiNIV@state.gov briefly explaining my current job in the company and my experience and all genuine which I submitted to VO. He also told in his email about the shifting of the current office to hitech city. He gave all the contact numbers of the persons here in my office and also my MD contact number in USA.
This is how it went.....So, can anyone tell what is going to happen now. I was told by my director that the phone connection of my current company would be resumed by monday.
I want your suggestions about my strange case.
