H1 B Visa Tranfer Issue

Hi All,

I am currently employed on a H1 visa and very soon will be terminated as I am on bench. I am yet to find another employer to transfer my H1. I understand that recent paystubs to be submitted for H1 transfer. How recent should be the paystubs as in my situation I have not found another employer to transfer my H1b? Is there a grace period to stay unemployed being on H1B?
