H1 B Visa Revalidation Time Limit

Hi:

I have H1 Visa Stamp on my Passport (prev employer) until nov 2006.

I am planning on getting Visa validated on my present employer H1B prior to nov 2006 when the old stamping expires. Is there any time limit that I can't get the new employer H1 B revalidated before the old one expires ?

By the way I am planning on going to Ottawa

Thanks
Rahul

Thanks for your reply. I was told by my friend that Consulate might ask that why am i changing visa to my present employer if I have the visa already for ample time so thought to check over here.

anyone got it re-stamped 6 months ahead of time?

it is likely that this question arises in the vo's mind. would it not in yours? what is the reason.

just my opinion is that it is not recommended to do this.

now if you are talking about a new visa stamp based on a new approval notice I797A (nov'06-nov'09); you can not go so early. you can go 10-days prior to the start date on the next notice.

Yeah..so its not recommended but no harm in going right?

First H1 started at Dec 2003 - Dec 2006. (Got visa stamping until dec 2006)
Switched company in May 2005 so new H1 from May 2005 to May 2008.
Since visa expires in dec 2006 I am planning to revalidate in Aug 2006.

Thanks
