Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the chances for registered nurses obtaining a H1-B visa at this time.
I am a New York State registered nurse, currently staying and working outside the US.
I have been actively searching for a job for more than 2 years now and was invited to several interviews with possible employers. The feedback I got regarding my experience and qualifications was consistently positive up until it came to my visa status. Apparently there is an official ban on new H1-B visas, making it impossible for employers to sponsor H1-B visas for foreign workers, even if they would want to.
Since the information I got from the official USCIS website and several affiliated websites is sometimes quite contradicting, I was wondering if someone here could tell me if this is true and or what the actual status is when it comes to new H1-Bs.
Any help or information is greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance!
