I had applied for H1B transfer on Dec 18, 2003 for new employer with start of Jan 04. I received my approval last week with the new H1B valid from June 17. I have been working with this new employer since Jan 1st 2004. I spoke to my lawyer about this and he said that I am still in valid legal status and no action is required. I am not sure if he is giving me right info. What should I do? I have to go and get my visa stamped too form India. This is my sixth year on H1B. thanks.
