Hi
I am currently on an H1-B visa and my new company has applied for an H1-B transfer through premium processing. I was told by the new company that the Fed-ex tracking number (of the paperwork sent to the government) is sufficient for me to start employment in the new company and I dont have to wait for the receipt to arrive.
I was not sure that this is the case, since I could not see any such information on the immigration.com faq list. Can somebody please let me know if this is the case.
Another related question - typically, how long does it take for the receipt to arrive after the papers reach the INS (in premium processing)? And is the receipt confirmation enough that the H1-B transfer will go through successfully?
Thanks,
