Hi,
I have been working for a University on a (quota-exempt) H1-B for
year now.
I have a (from-quota) H1-B (start-date: oct 1st 2004) through
a consultancy company 'A'
I have a offer from company 'B' willing to sponser H1-B.
I want to start working for B as early as possible.
questions:
* Can I transfer my visa from Company A to Company B, given
that I havent started working for A?
If I have to be working for A to transfer the visa, how long do I
need to work before I can transfer?
* Can I apply for a new H1-B through company B or is there no
such thing as new H1-B in this scenario.
If I can apply, will it be counted towards quota? I am already
counted towards cap with the visa company A got approved!
I greatly appreciate you takin the time to reply.
Thank you,
Kiran.
