h1-b status: received on 11th august acc. to WAC number
Hi,
I filed for my H-1b at the very last minute.
My consultant told me that the dates on the I 797 are as follows:
Received Date : August 10 2005
Notice date : August 12 2005
As soon as I got the receipt no (wac no),I checked in the website and it was written that Your I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER was received on August 11, 2005.
What does it mean? Did my application go through or not as the cap reached on 10th August.
More precisely my q is will they issue a WAC receipt number if they did not accept applications/ or do they issue receipt number for all applications and on a later stage return the application based on quota issues?
