H1-B stamping in Chennai US Consulate

Hi,
I am thinking of going to Chennai in a month or two. I will have to visit the US consulate in Chennai to get my visa stamped. I have heard some wierd cases where people get stuck in India...because the US consulate simply refuses to issue the visa...even though the candidates have all the necessary paperwork. Some have been stuck for more that 3 months...and seems that the US consulate takes its own sweet time. Is this true? has others have heard such cases? Please let me know.

as far as i know, if all the paperwork is complete, and if u use TTS dropbox services and send it by courier, u dont have to personally visit the consulate. and i heard it will take max a week to get back the stamped passport. i think the safest option for u is to apply thru the DOS at St. Louis u will get it back in 2 months.

i just sent in Jan 1st week but mine got rejected due to bad photo. so make sure u send a good photo with light background and a recent one.
