All - I need some advise here. This is my scenario

I came to the US as a consultant for a Big Indian company , after a year or so , I joined a consulting firm and got my H1 B transferred, but did not get my Visa Re stamped since I never stepped outside the USA. Now, I have a need to step outside the USA and am working for a small consulting firm(Perfectly Legal, but a small firm). But for some reason, I am paranoid about getting my passport restamped (even though I have a perfectly valid H1B, which expires next november). I was reading about people having bad experiences in the US Consulates In India.. What I really want to know would be something like..

1. Which Location is good for re stamping (when In USA)..
2. other than the Mandated set of documents, is there any other thing that I need to be ready for

1 -- you will have to appear for an appointment at the consulate that serves your native place in India. You can easily find this out by going to the VFS website

2 -- you will have to carry all documents required for H-1B processing. If your H-1B is good and you have all facts, consular posts does not cause problems.
