H1 b Revalidation

I am on H1b Visa. The stamping in my passport will expire in Feb 22nd 2004. I have plans to visit india in december and come back to US on Jan 25th 2004. Do I need to get my passport stamped with my new visa extension in india or can i travel to USA by showing the new visa extension documents and then get my passport stamped in US after coming here.

Please advise me.

You can travel back to USA as long as your visa is valid and you maintain valid H1 status. You just need to show your H1 approval notice (original) along with your passport/visa at the port of entry.
Once you return you can apply for visa revalidation at Dept of State.
You can also apply for new visa in India but given all the hassles and delays I would advise against it.
