Hi folks,
I have one quick question. My h1 b visa of my old company expired on Jan 13th 2003, i had already got a new h1 with a new company. i sent my papers and passport for revalidation to st louis on feb 5th got it back today after 10 weeks. but its not stamped. on the old visa as cancelled without prejudice. and says go to a US consulation outside country issuing visa.

My question is have they stopped isuuing new visa's in US?? (revalidation) or is it only to me??? i have to go to out of country to a get new visa stamped. how much time do i have to get it stamped. new I-94 and h1 valid till 2005 end.
please let me know the status of whats happening with others going for revalidation.
Thanks in advance.

Bharghava.

If you have a I94 attached with the new H1B then you HAVE A VALID STATUS

bharghava,

If you have a I94 attached with the new H1B then you HAVE A VALID STATUS till the expiry of new H1B.
VISA/Stamping is need only for travel.
When you travel out of USA, get it stamped there.

Some of the reasons for refusing to revalidate .....
1) If you are from listed countries then you cannot revalidate in usa.
2) Were you out of status anytime ? (or, the ins thinks you are ?)
