HI Everyone

I have a question related to I-94 and H1-B visa..

I am an Indian national working in US on a H1-B visa. I came to US on a H1-B 3 years ago.. My H1-B petition/ visa stamp/ I-94 was valid till Oct 1, 2002.. Two years ago i changed jobs and my new employer filed for a new H1-B petition which is now valid till Nov 2003.. The I-94 that I got with the petition DID NOT have a date on it.. I havent travelled out of US for the last 2 1/2 years... So now I have my H1-b visa stamp from my first employer (valid till Oct 2002)..

So, now I have 2 H1-B Petitions (old one valid till Oct 2002 and new one valid till Nov 2003).. Also i have two I-94's on my passport (Old one with Oct 1, 2002 date and the new one from my current employer with NO date on it)...

I have to travel out of US later this year... I know i can always go to a consulte in the country i visit, but if my visa stamp gets rejected for some reason, then i will have to go back to india for a visa stamping..

I tried calling the canadian consulate today to see If i can get an Appointment for a H1-B visa stamping before Oct 1 (My old I-94 date). However, they dont have an appointment available before Oct 4th... Now my question is, IF i drive down to Canada after Oct 1 (i think they dont take ur I-94 if u drive to canada from US), and IF by chance my visa stamping in rejected in cananda, then can i come back to US and cancel my travel plans abroad and get my visa revalidation here in US?

I would really appreciate a prompt response..

thanks in advance..
Sanjay
