i graduated in may 2005 with a bachelors degree. My OPT started in june and is valid until june 2006.
I recently started working with a company as an intern and now they have offered me a full time possition.
As we know , the cap for visas starting oct 05 have been reached in aug 2005. I heard a rumour that the consulate would increase the cap for the year 2005. Is it true?
In my case i cant apply for a visa until April 06 for a visa starting oct 06. I would have to leave the country for 4 months if i apply the for next year quota. Incase the rumour is true , then i can apply for a visa for this year ( 05) and start my H1 sometime in feb or march and wouldnt have to leave the country.
Does anyone know about the visa extension? i need to know ASAP!
