H1-B Master's Quota issue, Please Help

Hi all,

I completed my masters and am working right now, my masters Quota ends this may 2008 which says my status as a student will end and i will become out of status from May 2008. I am planning to enroll for a college back as F1 in order to maintain status till Oct 2008 while my company is planning to apply my H1 for this OCT 2008 Quota in April 2008. My Question here is

In the H1B application do i need to submit a proof that I am maintaining my status in USA from May 2008 - Oct 2008 by enrolling in a college, Like admission letter or I20. Is the proof really required or can i apply with out the proof that in am staying in usa till oct 2008 with a valid status.

On successful completion of your F-1, you are eligible for OPT - this will preserve your status till the time you get the H-1B.

By the way you can file the H-1B masters quota from April 1, 2008 onward.
 
not to creep on this thread, but I had a similar question. I am expected to graduate(I have completed all my requirements and filed for graduation) in may 2008. Will this make me eligible for masters quota for h-1 b? for FY2008? My employer is willing to file the papers by this April(2008) so I can continue to work after my opt ends in May 2009. has someone been in this situation. Will you please advice?

My OPT started in May 2007 and its going to end in May 2008 so from May 2008 i will be out of status. In order to be in status i will enroll in a college from May 2008 till Oct 2008. The Question Here is When my employer is applying H1 for me in April 2008 in masters quota
I the application papers do i need to provide any document that shows i will be maintaining status from May 2008 - Oct 2008,is it required or is it ok if i don't provide any status proof for my stay in USA from May 2008 - Oct 2008 and still get my H1 approved
 
I would not worry about May to October 2008 as long as I plan to possess appropriate visa. By the way OPT visa holders are entitled to 60 day grace period.
 
OPT expired last year. Can I file unders masters quota?

I am currently on H4 status. I have Masters degree from University of Oklahoma but my OPT expired last year.
Can I file under Advance degree quota as I have masters degree from USA?
Please advice me as I am very confused.
Any help in this matter is highly appreciated.
