H1-B laid off.

I am on valid H1B and my employer had laid off me. My H1B is valid till Aug 2011.

Here are my questions.

Till what time I need to transfer my H1B to new employer.( My employer has said he hold my H1 till June 31).

what are the chances that I will be deported?

till what time I can be without a job and no body holding my H1.

Or what is the best solution in this situvation.

Hi Pavan,

Please let me know if you are interested to transfer your H1 to us. If your skillset matches with one of the reqs we have, we can apply for the H1 transfer immediately and put you on the project. Else we can start marketing you and transfer your H1. Either case, I need to see your resume.
