H1-B laid off - Urgent...

a friend of mine got laid off today. her last day is aug 31st. she also holds a concurrent H1B at a univ as an adjunct faculty but that is not a "full-time" position. what are her options ?

its a bit of a panic question and i apologize if its been asked before - in which case, could you pls point me to a thread where i might find a response ?

she still maintains the legal status ....but on a H1B that is valid for work with a univa as a part time. she cannot work more then 20 hours

nothing to worry. check with univ if they can make her full time employee.

there are lot of oppurtunities in univ as shortage of qualified ppll in teaching and research
