H1-B issue while entering to US

hi,
I apply for transfer my H1-B from Company A to Company B on May 5th. Till now i didn't get my transfer H1B papers.
I have H1-B Transfer filling Reciept and I have my H1-B Visa stamping of Company A up to Dec29 2006 in my passport.
now i must go to india for 3 week on july ending.
my question is
can i use Company A H1-B papers in the port of entry while entering to the US b'cos i don't have Company B H1-B papers but i have a reciept of Transfer Filling ????

I suggest you contact your immigration attorney for a final confirmation, but as far as I know, leaving the country while an application is pending means abandonment. So you may have to refile your tansfer petition when you return (though I am not sure if the filing of transfer petition in itself invalidates your current H1).
