Hello, dear experts!
I need you help!!!
My H1-B petition was just approve. I want to go home to Belarus for a week in May. How do I do it? Do I have to apply for Advance Parole? Or I can just go there without it?
I don't want to go to US Embassy in Belarus to stamp visa in my passport because I know they may not give me one and I'll stay there forever.
I've heard I could get my visa stamped somewhere else (in Canada?..).
Can you pls share your experience and explain me how I can avoid US Embassy in Belarus and have a safe trip home not getting in trouble with coming back to the USA?
I MISS MY FAMILY SO MUCH!..
I'd appraciate your help!!!
Thanking you in advance!

Ira.

Go to Belarus via Canada

Apply for a non-immigrant visa appointment at one of the consulates in Canada. Go to NVARS.com to make an appointment. And then go to Belarus via Canada. As long as you have all your documents in order, US consulates in Canada are quite fair and agreeable. I would like to point out that if your visa application is rejected (for any reason) in Canada then you'll have to go to Belarus to get the visa stamped. Returning directly to USA from Canada is not an option.
