H1-B/H4 visa from Ottawa

Hello-

I have a new H4 visa stamping expereince from Ottawa. I think to get visa from Ottawa is very easy if compared to Toronto. The one big advantage is that you get the visa same day after 3 PM if approved while in Toronto you get next day.
It is the matter of travel 5 hrs one way from Toronto plus $39/night motel stay in Prestigue Inn which is 3 Km from Embessy.

Do you know whether they approve H1B visa for a special registration contry on the same day? If not, any idea how long it takes now a days to do the background check? Thanks a lot.
 
For special registration country you need to go for back ground checks & it takes min 3 weeks. It is standard practice in any embessy all over the world.
 
H1B stamping in Toronto Office

Hi,
last week one of my friend (Canadin PR) did H1B stamping in toronto office.Two advices he gave me I like to share
(1) Book online appointment directly in website at least one month before ..don't use 1-900 number
(2) Schedule early morning 8-8:30 AM ...officers in the morning are good and co operative
