Dear Members and Rajiv,
I have been working in the US for the last 2 years. I went onto my H1-B visa 1 year back.I work in the healthcare sector. Priot to that I was on F1-visa then OPT for 1 year.I need to get my H1-B visa stamped. This is my first stamping. I would like to get an appointment in October end in Mumbai, unfortunately they are running in November. The rule is that we have to create a new application(that takes almost 45 mins on a second run) to reschedule to an earlier date and if we have already have a later date we can loose that too. I have been thinking if I should go to the New Delhi office. I spoke to the consulate help desk they say it's fine to go there as I am working in the US. I would appreciate your input and advice in letting me know if this is correct and if there will be no issue in stamping imy H1-B visa.
Any person who has done this or if Rajiv could give me a feedback.
Please reply to my query.
Appreciate your time and advice.
Regards and Thank You,
Janet
