I'm on L1A visa in US for the past 1.5 years. My I-94 is valid until April 2007. My passport has expired in August 2005. Now I'm working on to transfer my status from L1A to H1B. Do I need a valid passport to file the H1B papers or the passport renewal can be taken care even after obtaining the H1B approval? Pls advice....
