As per the new rule we have to pay $1500 for ACWIA when we are doing extension. Does any one know whether we can pay this in our personal check. My Attorney says that it should be in Employer check only. Is this true. Or anyone paid in your personal check and have no issues on this.

Urgent please

Thanks in advance :(

it should be ONLY for employer not from you.

Thanks for the response. Do you know any official website that says it should be corporate or employer check. I searched in USCIS website it says all fees can be personal check, cashier check or Money order. It does not say it should be employer's check

Thanks

Anyone knows the official web site which tells that the ACWIA fee should only be in corporate check (employer's check)

Thanks in advance

On my recent H1b extension my lawyer told me that there is no such requirement. Check could be my personal check or company check.

Hi voldemarv

Thanks
Have you applied for H1 extension already. Or you got it approved already. Please let me know, if you got it approved. My attorney sent me some evidence which says that it should be employer's check.

It was only my lawyer word. Actually my emloyer paid for H1B extension and I paid for my wife H4 extension.

Thanks for your information. It is not a problem like your case when employer takes care of all fees. Otherwise it is a problem. DHS will accept ACWIA training fee only from Employer (Petitioner) or Representative of records (Attorney is a representative. But some attorney don't accept to give their office check on behalf of us even if we are ready to pay the amount to them through our personal check.)

How many people get paid for their wife's H4 or Green Card process by their employers? Is it fair to ask employer to pay these fees, or does it vary from big to small companies?
