H1-B extension for how long and how many times?

I need to extend H1-B status.
I've spent H1-B for nearly 6years already. How many more time I could get by extending it year by year?

Please help me for these questions.

You can extend as many times (in 1 year increments) as required untill a decision is made on your adjustment of status application.

I think, i should apply for my fourth EAD renewal and AP. Also want to maintain h1 beyond 6 years (God knows, why will i need it).
How much time does it need to get this beyond 6 year extension?

1 year extension a time, as many times as you want before 485 approval.

But each time you have pay filling fee plus $1000 (I don't remember what it is called for), and lawyer fee.

I didn't apply 7th year H1B because of the high cost.
