Is there a chance that H1-B extension will be rejected if EAD is given? Here is my case:
1. My H1-B expires, reaching 6 years, on Oct 19th 2007. I applied for the extension on Sept 10th 2007.
2. I filed for EAD, AP and I-485 on Aug 8th, 2007.
3. On Oct 11th 2007, I got an email from USCIS informing me that my EAD card production has been ordered.
Since I will be getting an EAD card soon, is there a chance that my H1-B extension will get rejected?
The reason I am worried about my H1-B status is that, I am still single. I hope to get married early next year, in time to have my future wife's green card application join my own application. To apply for my future wife's green card, I have to bring her to the US on H4 dependent visa. If my H1-B extension is rejected, I won't be able to bring my future wife on H4 visa!
Anybody know of similar cases? I will be very grateful if someone can shed light on this issue.
Thanks and regards.
