Hi,
My permanent LC is pending at the backlog processing center. I'm in my 6th year of H1-B and have applied for 7th year extension. I have been thinking about doing some business of my own. I want to buy an existing retail or manufacturing business with some 'substantial' investment.
My question is:
- If my E2 visa application is approved, can I keep my H1-B visa as well and continue working for my employer and at the same time manage the business with the E2 visa. Can I do that? Basically, I am hoping for get my labor approved early next year. So once it is approved, I can go through I-140 and I-485 process.
Any input would be appreciated.
