H1-B 7th year extension

Hi,
I am on the 7th year extension of my H1-B as
my labor is in process. If I get laid off at this point,
can I use the remaining time on my H1-B. I
understand that my GC process has to start from
scratch again.

Any ideas?

Monti.

Provided you get a copy of your Labor receipt to file your H1 transfer.

I am also in the same boat, ie on 7th year extension, as my labor sitting in the que for a long time. I had asked a immigration attorney the same question and the answer is other company cannot file the H1 as i hadalready completed the 6yr limit and labor is not yet approved.
If this information is wrong, guru please educate us , am in very bad situation holding our breath that company should not layoff.
