h1 approved

hi,

h1 approved on aug 23rd-but have visa appointment date for aug 30th(currently living outside united states)-approval notice have not recd.yet -how long do they take to mail it out-did premium processeing for h1 -can we do something (would embassy accept copies of notice if in case i get it in last minute by fax)

getting embassy appointments dates r so difficult-any ideas??

Anu, I got my H1b approval on aug 17 under premium processing and the documents from Vermont reached my lawyer on aug 23. Now the papers are in transit to my location (outside US). My appointment date here is Sept. 7. Ask your lawyer to check with the Service Center if your papers have been forwarded already. You still have enough time. Relax! Good luck!

Huh ? The OP does not have enough time -- the appt is for AUG 30th and the H1 was approved only on Aug 23rd -- so only a week !!!

Anu: I don't think the embassy would agree to a fax copy -- they usually need the original.
Keep looking on the website -- new appointments do open up once in a while -- its best to postpone your appointment by atleast 2 weeks.
