H1 approved in 2006. For how long is it valid before getting stamped?

Hi,

I've a question on how long can we wait before going to the stamping?
H1 Visa was applied on 5/2006 and it was approved on 8/2006
but due to some reasons, I have not yet gone to stamping at consulate in India. I'm currently in India working for a company and I've never been to USA

please share your knowledge/experience regarding the following question(s)

Question:
1) How long is the approved h1 visa valid?

2) how long can we wait before going to the stamping? or Is there any time period before which he need go for stamping?

3) assuming I go for stamping in 2007, am i subject to H1 CAP of 2006 or 2007?

4) If i go to US on Business visa, is there any problem in getting H1 stamping later?
