H1 and Tax

Hello there
I am on H1 visa and completed my three years in USA. Out of this
three year I worked two plus years and paid the tax accordingly, but from last couple of months I am laid off and waiting for the job; meanwhile I am not getting any salary or pay-stubs .

If I am not wrong no salary means no tax. Am I right?

Is this sort of scenario will adversely affect my green card processing or INS is not bothered to check IRS records.

Income Tax

Assuming your are talking about income tax (as opposed to sales tax, property tax, or any or the other million or so taxes we seem to have in the US) no income = no tax due.
