Hello Experts
I am on an H1B Visa and my wife on H4 Visa.
We both have our passports stamped with my previous Employer's Visa and that is valid till may 2004. I changed my employer in Feb this year and have my approval notice(I-797) valid till Feb 2006 and my wife's I539 also valid till Feb 2006. We are going to India in Nov and coming back in Dec End and I was planning to get my and my wife's visa restamped. Here are some things I wanted to make sure.
1. Can I use Drop Box service as we will be getting stamping done in the same class.
2. As my old visa is valid till May 2004 , can I just skip the stamping part (I have heard the visa should be valid for 180 days when you enter US and mine will be less than 180 days)
3. If in some case they refuse to stamp or if it is denied I can still enter US on my old visa. I am not sure if they will invalidate it even if they don't stamp a new one.
4. Are there any precautions or documents that I need to take when I go for restamping.
Thank you guys. All your help is appreciated.
